???? What you’ll learn
Exam game plan: timeboxing, 3-pass method, and how to kill trick answers fast
The numbers you must know cold: 400 ft AGL, 87 kt, 3 SM / 500 below / 2,000 horizontal, 55 lb, 10-day ≥$500 report
Airspace & charts: Class B/C/D/E/G depictions, Mode C veil, obstructions like “1543 (310)”
Operations & compliance: Remote ID + FRIA, ops over people (Cat 1–4), night/civil twilight lighting
Weather quick hits: METAR/TAF essentials you’ll actually see on the test
Performance & loading: density altitude, load factor, CG effects (what the exam loves to ask)
Emergency & CRM: lost link, right-of-way, deviations, and reporting rules
⏱️ Timestamps / Chapters
00:00 Pass-fast plan (what to memorize vs. what to recognize)
00:50 Must-know numbers & “gotcha” wording to watch for
02:15 Airspace & charts mini-drill (B/C/D/E/G, Mode C veil, obstacles)
03:45 Ops over people (Cat 1–4), moving vehicles, participants vs. nonparticipants
05:05 Remote ID + FRIA + registration thresholds
06:05 Weather speed-read: METAR/TAF items likely to appear
07:05 Performance & loading: density altitude, load factor, CG
08:05 Night & civil twilight: strobes, illusions (autokinesis), same minima
09:00 Emergency & reporting: lost link, deviations, 10-day rule ≥$500
09:40 35-question speed quiz (mixed topics)

3-Pass Method:
Easy wins first (≤20 sec) → mark hard ones.
Medium items (≤45 sec).
Hard/marked last—eliminate, estimate, move on.
Elimination Tricks: absolutes (“always/never”), answers that restate the question, units mismatch (MSL vs AGL), or violates a memorized limit.
Numbers to Tattoo: 400 AGL, 87 kt, 3 SM / 500↓ / 2,000↔, 55 lb, 10-day ≥$500 (excl. UAS), strobe ≥3 SM at night.
Chart Tells: dashed magenta = Class E to surface; faded magenta = E starts 700’ AGL; faded blue = E starts 1,200’ AGL; solid magenta = Class C; solid blue = Class B; dashed blue = Class D; Mode C veil = 30 NM around Class B.
Obstructions: “1543 (310)” → top 1,543 ft MSL; height 310 ft AGL.
Ops-over-People: Cat 1–4 rules; transient over moving vehicles allowed only per Cat 1/2/3 or within closed/restricted sites.
Remote ID: Standard RID or accepted module; FRIA = broadcast not required.
Night: Same weather minima as day; strobes ≥3 SM; civil twilight still needs strobes.
